Role description: As part of our Competency Centre team you will be a driver of change for Audit and Assurance practice, introducing a standardized 'best-practice' approach for a specific range of audit procedures as well as utilizing the latest innovative tools and technologies available to conduct those procedures in the most effective and efficient manner.

Unlike core audit teams, you will work with a broad and diverse range of clients remotely from a local PwC office, delivering expertise to several audit engagements simultaneously with predefined scope of work. Just like an outsourcing contractor being assigned to perform a certain function in an organization, you will be expected to deliver best-in-class quality of work to your fellow colleagues in core audit, with special attention to detail. Therefore, strong prioritization and multitasking skills are vital for success.

To help you become a specialist, you will be exposed to on-the-job training and will be expected to take over the responsibility of fulfilling certain tasks early on. But don't worry, senior colleagues will be there to guide you.

You will also be granted access to the most innovative and latest technologies and resources within PwC Network. Taking advantage of these technologies and resources in your daily tasks is essential not only for creation of value and efficiency in your audits, but also for making your work easier. Role and Responsibilities:

  • Start date: September 2022;
  • Develop expertise in audit methodology and generally accepted accounting principles by applying it in practice consistently on multiple engagements;
  • Nourish a guidance-driven approach in performing daily tasks, thus delivering quality outputs;
  • Promote usage of technology and resources available to you by spotting areas for their implementation/improvement;
  • Escalate potential and relevant audit issues in a timely and professional manner to fellow colleagues within the team;
  • Play an integral role as a professional in PwC Audit and Assurance Services provided to clients;

Knowledge and skills required:

  • BSc in Accounting, Finance, Economics, IT, Engineering or Mathematical Sciences;
  • GPA: Minimum of 3,3 (4,33) and 3,0 (4);
  • Ability to work full-time;
  • Computational and presentational skills in Microsoft Excel and Word;
  • Decent verbal and written skills in English;
  • Proficiency in project management and multitasking skills;
  • Proven team player with good communication skills;
  • Stress resistance;
  • High career commitment;
  • Knowledge of IFRS and Kazakhstani standards of Accounting will be a strong plus;
  • Prior work experience is not required, but would be a plus.
